Optional Coverages
Note: If you require additional insurance coverage you may purchase locally to reduce/remove the insurance excess. Just ask at the Avis rental desk when you collect your car.
Global insurance coverages are always subject to change. Please verify at time of rental.
Collision Damage Waiver is optionalCustomer is liable for an amount ranging from EUR 10000.00 to EUR 55000.00, depending on the car group rented, if Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not purchased. If CDW is purchased, the renter's liability is reduced to an amount ranging from EUR 1000.00 to EIR 5000.00.
Theft Protection (TP) is optionalCustomer is liable for an amount ranging from EUR 10000.00 to EUR 55000.00, depending on the car group rented, if Theft Protection (TP) is not purchased. If TP is purchased, the renter's liability is reduced to an amount ranging from EUR 1000.00 to EIR 5000.00.
Credit Card Policies
Avis accepts Avis Charge Card, American Express, Amoco Torch, Diner's Club, MasterCard and Visa.
Debit Card Policies
Debit cards are not accepted.
Drivers License
The renter must have held a valid driver's licence for at least one year. The renter must present valid driver licence at the time of rental. The licence must be valid at the time of the rental and remain valid throughout the rental period. International driver license is required for licenses in non-Roman Alphabet.
For car groups H, J, L and M two valid presonal credit cards are required.
Public Liability and Property Damage
Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.
Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.
Age Requirements
Minimum age: 20. Maximum age: N/A
- Ages 20 can rent car groups A, B, C / no charge
- Ages 23 can rent car groups D, E, G, K and P / young driver additional fee aplied
- Ages 25 can rent car groups F, H, I, J and L / young driver additional fee aplied
- Ages 30 can rent car groups M, N. / young driver additional fee aplied
Young driver fee: 1500.00 CSD per day, 9000.00 per week with a maximum fee of 18000.00 CSD + tax per rental for drivers between the ages of 21 and 25.

Travel Into Other Countries
Vehicles are allowed outside Serbia, except to the following countries - Albania, Belarus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldavia, Turkey, Kosovo even if returning to Serbia.
Crossing border fee per rental: 100.00 EUR. European border fee per rental: 48.00 EUR.
Crossing border insurance for Croatia and/or Bosnia and Herzegovina is an additional charge per rental: 5000.00 CSD.
NOTE: If these crossing border charges are not applied any additional insurances will not be valid, and the customer will be charged for the full amount of damage.
