AIRLINE PASSENGERS: Proceed to the Avis counter in the baggage claim area. Rental cars are parked outside the baggage claim area. WALK-UP RENTERS: From I-95 East or West, take Exit 13B (MA-140N). Take MA-140N approx 1/2 mile & take Exit 3 Hathaway Rd. Turn left onto Hathaway Rd. Take 1st left (approx 1/4 mile) onto Shawmut Ave. Proceed to the end of Shawmut Ave. Road ends (approx 1 mile) at New Bedford Airport. Follow signs to the Terminal. Proceed inside the baggage claim area entrance to the Avis counter. Rental cars are parked outside the baggage claim area.
After-hours Returns
How it Works: Lock the vehicle and place the keys in the key drop box for After Hours Returns located in the return area. Don't forget to remove all your belongings from the vehicle prior to returning the keys. A vehicle that is returned after hours will be checked in when the location opens the next business day. If returning after hours when a location is closed, the customer is responsible for the vehicle until the satisfactory check in of the rental vehicle the next business day.
