An Avis Wizard number is a unique customer number that is given to you that enables you to store your travel preferences online.
Having a Wizard number allows you to easily make reservations, view, modify, cancel and get a receipt.
You will be sent your Avis Wizard number on email when you first join Avis Preferred membership program.
If you have forgotten your Wizard/Preferred number you can enter your details on our Forgot Username page or email our database team for further assistance.
You are in control of your profile and can easily make amendments online. After logging in you can follow the prompts to make amendments. If you need further assistance or can't amend your profile online, you can email our database team.
As part of our environmental effort, we will no longer be issuing physical Avis Preferred membership cards. You are still required to include your Avis Wizard number with each booking, to receive Avis Preferred priority service. Should you require assistance in finding your Wizard number, please refer to ‘How can I find my Avis Wizard Number?’ above.
There are 2 different scenarios in which you may receive this message:
- Your profile was created as part of a corporate arrangement, at a location or by a third party. You’ve never created a password so you need to complete this last step. Please click here and follow the prompts to create your password.
- You’re attempting to login with a corporate chargeback account and It’s currently not possible to login with this account type. To book, enter the Wizard number and drivers’ surname, in the Avis Wizard Number section of the booing engine. If you have a chargeback account and need to update any details, including the credit card, please contact salessupport@abgroup.co.nz.
If you’re unsure about your profile type, please contact our database team at database@avis.co.nz.
You can delete your account through one of two ways:
On the Avis app: Log into the app, enter the Account tab. Scroll to the bottom of the screen then click the ‘Delete Account’ button. You will be prompted with a disclaimer on the consequences of deleting your account. Clicking ‘Yes, delete my account’ at the bottom will delete the account.
On the Avis website: Fill the Preferred/Wizard Profile Update form with all of the relevant details and request to delete your account in the ‘Your Feedback’ section. Submit the form and a Database agent will assist to cancel your account.
